Miss Mina has worked with Midaye Somali Community (based in Ladbroke grove) for almost 3 years. She worked with the elderly and young children by providing translation and also filling out day to day forms. Miss mina has worked on many projects like organising a Somali culture dance and taking children aged 7-15 to be part of a dance challenge. Also she worked with the likes of Channel 4 more presenter (Nina Teggarty) on issues that affects the Somali community.

Miss Mina is currently studying at university doing mental health nursing and also an evening degree of psychology. Miss Mina has big ambitions to gain enough skills and knowledge here to take back home to Somalia. Miss Mina always had interest in helping people, whether it’s giving advice to family and friends or researching on many theories to life. Miss Mina likes to look at people as a holistically trying to help their physical, intellectual, emotional and social needs. In terms of music Miss Mina enjoys many types of music (Hip Hop, R’n’B and Somali), however Slow Jams are my sort of thing.
